St Pius X College is an independent Catholic educational institution for boys consisting of a junior school (Years 5 and 6) and a senior school (Years 7 to 12). The Chatswood campus accommodates over 1000 students.

The school was established by the Christian Brothers in 1937 but in 1954 was renamed Saint Pius X College, after a 19th century Italian Pope, following his canonisation. The school adopted Saint Pius X as its patron saint because his life work - including scientific study of the Bible, contributions to music and his social justice initiatives - represented strength of faith, learning and culture, qualities that the school believes their students should strive for, producing young men who respect themselves and others.

The college aims to foster strengths beyond the academic. With the incorporation of Catholicism into the curriculum, the college addresses the spiritual element of learning. Superior sporting facilities and running the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme accommodates the social and physical aspects for their students. Lastly, the wide variety of extra-curricular activities and supportive resources enable students to pursue cultural interests, such as music and drama, as well as forming challenging leagues of chess, debating and mock trial activities.

The college also maintains some campus facilities a few suburbs away at Oxford Falls, including the Treacy Centre and various sporting facilities. The Treacy Centre is an educational hub consisting of a fully equipped meeting room, two lecture areas, canteen, clinic, teaching kitchen and function room. The sporting facilities include four ovals for rugby and soccer, two cricket pitches and four practice nets, two tennis courts, a grandstand and an indoor gymnasium/basketball court, all serviced by four change rooms.

Enrolment is open to all male students of parents who support the religious tenets of the school, although preference is given to members of the Catholic community, siblings of enrolled students or sons of ex-students, as places are limited.
